I think that either of these albums could make for a solid season of Dissect. It’s definitely a massive genre shift, but I think that there are definitely a lot of similarities between these two albums and To Pimp a Butterfly. They’re both sprawling concept albums with plenty of colorful characters (Emotional Mugger even has the character Uncle Sam) with lush instrumentation and experimentation in their respective genres. Manipulator has a lot of the same themes of the dangers of fame and stardom as TPAB. There’s also plenty to talk about in terms of distraction and connection in the internet age. Kendrick is at the top of the hip-hop game, and I think Ty is in a similar position right now in the modern garage/psychedelic rock scene. I think it would make a pretty entertaining season
